Registration for Fall Semester will begin August 8, 2022

Cooperative Preschool Enrollment for 2022-23: Opens March 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.

If you attended San Luis Coastal Adult School and graduated or received class credits, and would like to order an official transcript, please send an email to adultschool@slcusd.org. Please include the following information in your email: Full name while attending the Adult School, date of birth, and a valid email address. You will be contacted by the Adult School Registrar.

I agree to participate in the District sponsored activities of SAN LUIS COASTAL ADULT SCHOOL.
I understand and acknowledge that participation in these activities is completely voluntary.
I understand and acknowledge that in order to participate in these activities I agree to assume liability and responsibility for any and all potential risks that may be associated with participation in such activities.
I understand, acknowledge, and agree that the District, its employees, officers, agent, or volunteers shall not be liable and I hereby waive, release, and discharge them from any future claims, demands, obligations, or causes of action for any injury/illness or property damage suffered by me arising as a result of engaging or receiving instruction in said activity or any activity that is incidental thereto.

The Adult School is part of the San Luis Coastal Unified School District and collaborates with several outstanding organizations to bring educational advantages to our students.

The Adult School is a member of the San Luis Obispo County Adult Education Consortium. This partnership has enabled us to bring greater opportunity to community members seeking education for enhancing their place in the workforce through our diploma and HiSET programs and ESL classes. Additional partners and community resources
Cuesta College enriches and supports our community through a variety of programs such as the Cuesta Promise, English as a Second Language, Workforce Preparation, GED test preparation, and CTE career pathways.
California Adult Education Program - California's Adult Education website is a great resource for information regarding programs, locations, news, and career opportunities.
Eckerd Connects Workforce Development provides career pathways and support to adults, dislocated workers, and youth ages 16 and older.
Center for Family Strengthening coordinates with organizations throughout San Luis Obispo County to strengthen families through education and advocacy.
Parent Connection of SLO County partners with the Adult School to provide parent education and resources to the families of San Luis Obispo County.

VIEW CLASSES AND REGISTER

Leslie O'Connor, Director

Leslie O'Connor began his teaching career in 1992 at Bakersfield High School, where he taught Social Studies and coached girls and boys soccer. In 2007, he accepted the role of Assistant Director for Categorical Programs at the Kern High School District Office, and then became assistant principal for Bakersfield Adult School in 2010.

Mr. O'Connor served as principal at San Luis Obispo High School from 2011 through 2021, and currently is the Director for Secondary School and Adult Education for San Luis Coastal Unified School District.
