Arthur, who teaches voice at Cal Poly, has appeared as a soloist with the Southwest Chamber Music Ensemble, Santa Barbara Oratorio Society, and Pacific Repertory Opera. As a guest artist in Europe, she recorded works for Austrian Radio and ORFEO Records. She is featured on “Child in Me,” a CD of songs recently released by Cal Poly Professor Ken Habib. Arthur also teaches singing classes through the San Luis Coastal Adult School.
Edwards has been a performer, teacher, composer and recording artist for over 35 years. He plays not only the rich and varied traditional repertoire but his own compositions and contemporary styles as well. James also plays historical instruments of the Renaissance and Baroque periods such as the five-course guitar and eight-course lute. He has been head of the guitar dept. at Southern Oregon University in Ashland for several years, and was previously on the faculty as guitar instructor at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. Mr. Bishop-Edwards is also artistic director for the Bailey Guitar Foundation http://www.grogerbaileyscholarship.org/ of the Central Coast of California.
